Authentic Serbian plum rakia is produced from the high quality plums called Požegaca that are growing around towns of Ivanjica, Valjevo and Čačak. Our drink is produced according to the traditional recipe with respect to modern norms and quality standards. We separate kernels during the process, which significantly reduces the percentage of methyl alcohol (gulity for the hangover). Rakia is distilled in a copper brandy still, heated with an open wood flame, and treated with distilled water, which comes from the mountain Golija (The World Biosphere Reserve under UNESCO protection).
